My name is James Golding and I have been a practising counsellor, hypnotherapist and psychotherapist for more than 40 years with over 20 years in West Byfleet & Woking Surrey. My practice is within easy reach of Addlestone, Weybridge, Chertsey, Farnham, Camberley, Shepperton, Walton-on-Thames, Egham, Staines and Guildford.

With several years on Alexander ward at Woking Mental Health, Surrey and Hillview Medical Centre, Heathside Road, Woking, Surrey as a clinical hypnotherapist, counsellor and psychotherapist. With referrals from Counsellors, GP's, Surgeons and Psychiatrists in the Surrey area my caseload has ranged from weight loss and smoking cessation to Irritable Bowel Syndrome, (IBS), Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, (OCD's), preparation for anaesthesia, general anxieties, cocaine and heroin addiction. I offer a range of approaches including client-centred and psychodynamic counselling, NLP, EFT,EMDR, REBT (CBT) and clinical hypnotherapy.

A founder member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners, Accredited member of the National Society of Psychotherapists, NSP, The Hypnotherapy Association (HA), The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), The Hypnotherapy Register (HR), I am committed to providing counselling and hypnotherapy and brief strategic interventions in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment at New Leaf, West Byfleet, Surrey.

Self Development

I have enjoyed my own journey of self-discovery over the last twenty years and continue to update my skills on a regular basis, with a personal commitment to my own therapy and supervision and the development of the Surrey College of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (SCCP). As Principal I find change for myself and others an absorbing and exciting prospect allowing the development of new opportunities.

I work with both individuals and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling people to enhance their lives and to live them more fully at either West Byfleet or Woking.

With a hypnotherapy and counselling practices now at New Leaf, West Byfleet Surrey; within 5 minutes walk of West Byfleet main line train station and easy parking.
